VBS 2019

Mark your calendars for another great VBS at TUMC! July 22-25, Monday - Thursday mornings, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon.



Christmas Eve

worship Services December 24th

Children are encouraged to come, bring your families, and join in leading in worship at the 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Worship Services. Meet us at least 20 minutes prior to each service to choose a costume! We’ll hear the Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke and act it out as a part of worship. Each service will have a Time for Children as we light the Christ candle, carols, and Holy Communion.

Birth – 23 months

Nursery + Toddler Care

Sunday Morning | 8:30am–12:15pm

Reservations are not necessary for Sunday morning worship services or Sunday School, though reservations are required in advance for all other church activities. Parents are asked to check in at the kiosk in the nursery and/or in the hallway by the 2 year old classroom.  Parent badge and child's badge will be printed.

3 years old – 5th grade

Sunday School

9:30 –10:30am

Using Methodist curriculum, these hour long classes use various activities including stories and crafts to engage your child in the stories of the Bible. Please see a list of classrooms posted in hallways for locations.

3 years old – 4 years old

Extended Care

11:15am – 12:15pm

Extended care is a ministry that allows your children to continue worshiping with their friends by gathering them together in Room 213 before the sermon and presenting them with an age appropriate lesson, craft, and snack. Through this program, we hope your child will grow in their knowledge and faith in God.

11:00 am Fellowship Hall*

*The 11:00 am service in the Fellowship Hall is especially “child-friendly” with a special Time for Children and Holy Communion each week.


Children's Ministries


Here at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, we offer many different ways throughout the year for your child to learn what it means to love God, others, and themselves through fellowship and service.

Loving our Lord

Wednesdays 4:30–6:15pm

Spring Dates: Jan30-April10

Loving Our Lord (or LOL for short) is a mid-week ministry which regularly meets to learn all about Jesus. We have Bible lessons, crafts, recreation, dinner, and music!

Growing in God

Fall & Spring, 3:30–4:30pm

Growing in God (or GIG for short) is a Bible study geared to 4th + 5th graders. We meet for one hour a week to study straight from God’s word. Spring dates Jan. 29-Feb. 26.

Missions and Madness

Fridays 5:30–7:30pm -----January 11

Missions and Madness (or M&Ms for short) is an outreach program for 4th + 5th graders that focuses on teaching what it means to be a servant. This ministry gives students an opportunity to look beyond themselves and help others in tangible ways.
